Valluvar Kottam represent the unique bit of modernity in the city and it is a huge auditorium inspired from the great temple builders of Tamilnadu's past. It is a toweringtemple car in stone dominates this huge memorial hall to the poet-saint Thiruvalluvar and is about 2000 years old.
This is a standing memorial to the immortal philosopher and Tamil Saint and it is shaped like a temple chariot. It is the replica of the temple chariot in Thiruvarur. Timing to visit this place is from 8 AM to 5 Pm. and it is closed on Friday and national holidays.
