| | This is one of the ancient temple of god Shiva. It is located off Kutchery road near Mylapore. This temple has typical Dravidian style Gopuras. It was damaged in the year 1566, at the time when the Portuguese took over Mylapore. The temple was rebuilt by the Vijayanagar Kings in the 16th century. The 37 meter high Gopuram depicts many of the legends through the beautiful carvings on it. | |
